China International Fair for Trade in Services (hereinafter referred to as "CIFTIS"), co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Beijing Municipality, is the first and by far the global largest comprehensive fair for trade in services. It is also an important window for the opening-up of China's service industry.The 2023 CIFTIS attracted more than 2,400 offline exhibitors, including more than 500 Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders, with a total of about 300,000 visitors. 83 countries and international organizations set up exhibitions and held conferences in the name of their governments or headquarters.The 2023 CIFTIS also adopted a variety of forms of online participation and exhibition to echo and complement onsite events, and realized the goal of connecting and serving the world through creating digital and intelligent online expediencies with over 800,000 online users participation.

The 2024 CIFTIS will be held in Beijing from September 12 to 16 , under the theme of "Global Services, Shared Prosperity", emphasizing internationalization, specialization, and marketization, focusing more on enhancing the trading function of the exhibition. It will feature exhibitions, negotiations and promotions, results releases, and various supporting activities. The 2024 CIFTIS will include Comprehensive Exhibitions and Thematic Exhibitions. The Comprehensive Exhibition will comprise Achievement Exhibitions, Pavilion for Countries, Chinese Mainland, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan as well as Annual Theme Exhibition Area, highlighting the unique characteristics and advantages of service trade across regions, as well as the latest achievements and technologies showcased by leading companies in the global service trade sector.While the Thematic Exhibition will cover nine categories: Culture & Tourism Services, Education Services, Health Services, Sports Services, Engineering Consulting& Construction Services, Telecommunication, Computer & Information Services, Financial Services, Supply Chain & Business Services as well as Environmental Services.

The 2024 CIFTIS will showcase new quality productive forces, cutting-edge achievements, and application scenarios, along with the entire industrial chain in various services sectors and the integration of service trade with modern services, high-end manufacturing, and modern agriculture. Through physical displays and case sharing, CIFTIS will cover a wide range of fields including AI and metaverse technology, satellite internet, fintech, digital culture and tourism, smart education, smart sports, professional services like accounting and legal, transportation services, postal and express services, smart construction, public health services, and energy-saving and carbon-reduction technologies.
