The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is directly planned, proposed, arranged and promoted by the Chinese President Xi Jinping. It is a major decision made by China to promote high-standard opening-up in the new era and to actively open its market to the world. The exhibition continues to function as a platform for international procurement, investment promotion, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and open cooperation. It has become a window of building the new development paradigm, a platform of promoting high-standard opening up, and an international public good shared by the world.

The CIIE is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and is organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau and National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.. It is composed of Country Exhibition, Business Exhibition, Hongqiao Forum, supporting events and people-to-people exchange activities. Since 2018, China has hosted seven sessions of the CIIE. The exhibition now features better quality and wider international influence. With an exhibition area of 420,000 square meters, the 7th CIIE attracted companies and delegations from 152 countries, regions and international organizations. It also set a new record with 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders attending the event.

The 8th CIIE will be held from November 5 to 10, 2025 in Shanghai. We sincerely welcome government officials, business communities, exhibitors and professional purchasers across the world to participate in CIIE and to explore the Chinese market and share development opportunities.
